Press conference by the senior managers from COTES Group of Companies was held in Interfax-Siberia on December 7, 2011. The event covered the results of the company's work in 2011 and its plans for further development in 2012.
Dmitry Serant, COTES General Director/CEO presented some figures showing financial performance of the company for 2011, in particular, expected 30% revenue growth within the COTES Group of Companies compared to that in 2010. This growth was made possible due to signing of the following large contracts:
- Design works for the construction of stage II at the Blagoveshchenskaya CHP plant (RAO ES of East).
- Relocation project for construction of 600 MW CCGT at a new site in Moscow (PÖYRY).
- Works for the Reftinskaya GRES (ENEL OGK-5).
- Development of Investment Feasibility Study for the construction of thermal power plant for Ozerny Mining and Processing Plant (Technopromexport).
- Design works for the construction of CCGT in the Ural region.
- Testing of turbine units at Nazarovskaya GRES, Krasnoyarskaya CHP-1 and CHP-2 plants (TGK-13) etc.
In 2012 COTES is going to participate in new tenders and complete the projects initiated in 2011, in particular, retrofit projects and the projects for the construction of new power units at Ekibastuzskaya GRES-1 and GRES-2 (the Republic of Kazakhstan).
Anton Kuzmin, COTES Director for Technical Development and New Technologies emphasized that a high level of works implemented by COTES was possible owing to the application of innovative technologies. The work of the Company aims at the introduction of cutting-edge engineering solutions to increase the efficiency and improve environmental performance of power plants. During testing and examinations COTES’ engineers make use of special software-based measuring complexes, which significantly facilitate data processing. Apart from the in-house patented innovations, the projects feature energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and solutions offered by foreign partners of COTES such as PÖYRY, Magaldi, Foster Wheeler and others.
Anton Milto, COTES Executive Director reported on signing the Cooperation Agreement between COTES and Pöyry Finland Oy in January 2011. The Agreement covers marketing, engineering and power projects management, and today four joint projects are underway.
COTES takes part in a number of large Russian and international exhibitions and conferences. Thus, in 2011 the specialists of the Company presented their papers at Russia Power and TENOR conferences. At present, the Company is actively preparing for participation in the most important international exhibitions to be held in 2012.
